The interior of this lighthouse on Martha's Vineyard was rebuilt by Georgetown Ironworks. This involved installing a center support for a spiral staircase with three landings, each one tapered to fit the shape of the lighthouse. Above the third landing a ladder was also built to the beacon at the top. The lighthouse is now open to the public, where they can now get a view from the top. Before this the lighthouse only was accessible to workers using a wooden ladder.
